About Iowa Accomodations
Like Indiana, Iowa is a Midwestern state that is primarily known for its agriculture. Because of this, the people are friendly, and the food is excellent, making it a great place for tourists who are looking to get off the beaten track. While Iowa may not have all the glamour of Florida or California, it does have a number of interesting tourist attractions. The first of these is the Antique Car Museum, which can be found in Iowa City. Those who are fans of history will want to visit the Effigy Mounds National Monument. You may also find it fun to visit the Amana Colonies. If you enter Iowa via Interstate 80, you will get the impression that the state is desolate.
However, this is an illusion at best. To discover the true beauty and charm of Iowa, you will simply need to get off the interstate and head into the small towns. Here you will be able to truly experience a taste of the Midwest. Because much of Iowa is flat, you will be expected to have a car if you want to get around. Unless you are in larger cities like Des Moines, you will not be able to get around easily without personal transportation. It should also be noted that Iowa becomes extremely cold during the winter, so if you happen to be visiting during this time, it is important for you to bring a jacket with thermals. Another event that is popular in Iowa is RAGBRAI, which involves biking through the state.
