About Maine Accomodations
Maine is a state that sits to the northeastern portion of the U.S. To north of Maine sits Canada, and this state is known for its dense forests, rugged coastline, and friendly people. Even in the New England region, Maine is unique among its neighbors. While the largest city in the state is Portland, the capital is Augusta. Much of this state retains its natural splendor, and some of the parks you will want to visit are Acadia National Park, Mackworth Island, and Sebago Lake. It should also be noted that Maine is one of the least populated states in the U.S., despite the fact it sits on the east coast, a region which is generally heavily populated.
When it comes to food, one of the most popular cuisines in the state is lobster. Maine can be heaven for tourists who enjoy fresh seafood, and it is a wonderful place to visit. When it comes to getting around, travelers will need to have a car. If you're traveling to an area that sits to the northwest of Bangor, few public roads will be available. In addition to the state parks, some of the other activities which are available include Whalewatching, viewing the lighthouses, and the North Maine Woods. If you are looking for both solitude and beauty, these are places you will want to visit. Some event which are held in Maine include the Maine Lobster Festival, which will generally be held in July or August. Camping, hiking, or biking are all popular activities in this region.
