About Minnesota Accomodations
Minnesota is a Midwestern U.S. state that is known for its large number of lakes. It has been estimated that Minnesota has more lakes that Michigan, and the total number is in excess of 14,000. This has made Minnesota an ideal tourist state for a wide variety of water related activities and attractions. For those who enjoy shopping, the Mall of American is the largest shopping mall in the United States, if not the world. Here you can find virtually anything you're looking for, whether its clothes or electronics. In addition to this, Minnesota is also home to a number of impressive national parks. Some of these include the Flandrau state park, as well as the Minnesota Zoo.
Of all the lakes in the region, one of the most famous is Lake Superior. However, it should be noted that the water temperatures in this lake are below freezing all throughout the year, and those who fall overboard and don't get help can succumb to hypothermia relatively quickly. Because of this, it is always important to take safety precautions. It should also be noted that while English is the primary language, the residents use a dialect which is distinct from other states in the U.S. If you are in the Twin Cities, public transportation is widely available, and it is quite cheap. The prices for bus fare will generally be $1.50. If you are looking to travel relatively quickly, the train is another low cost option. The Walker Art Center is very popular in Minneapolis.
