New Mexico is a state that sits in the southwestern portion of the U.S. This state was once a Spanish colony in the early 19th century, and it continues to have a large Spanish speaking population today. However, many tourists find it enjoyable to drive themselves around due to the well maintained roads. One event that is held each year is the International Balloon Fiesta.
