About Rhode Island Accomodations
Despite the fact that Rhode Island is the smallest state in the U.S., it is one of the most densely populated. However, one of the most impressive tourist attractions is the 400 miles of coastline that comprise the state. One of the best beaches in both Rhode Island and the New England area is Narragansett. Block Island is another great location for those who enjoy biking. While much of the state consists of urban areas, there are still uninhabited areas that showcase farms. Public transportation is widely available all over the state, and Rhode Island is so small that you can take public transportation from one end of the state to another. If you go into the city of Providence, you may find that it is better to simply walk and enjoy the fresh air.
Some of the sites that you can view in Rhode Island include the International Tennis Hall of Fame at the Newport Casino, which is in the city of Newport. This center holds the largest amount of tennis memorabilia on the planet. Another popular attraction in this state is Roger Williams Park Zoo. Located in Providence, this zoo has a park and a very impressive dinosaur exhibition. Another interesting artistic attraction is the WaterFire. It showcases a type of environmental art that comes in the form of about 100 bonfires. These fires will float on water, and in the background ambient music will be played. The 4th of July Parade at Bristol is the oldest celebration in the United States.
